Privacy Policy for xmr-exchange.org

This policy explains the information involved in an exchange order, a support request and ordinary use of xmr-exchange.org. It covers information supplied by a customer and technical records needed to run and protect the service.

Data Used for an Exchange

An order can contain selected assets and networks, amounts, payout address, order ID, transaction identifiers and status events. These details are used to quote, process, track and support the requested exchange.

Blockchain transactions and wallet addresses may be visible according to the properties of the networks used. Monero and public token networks handle transaction visibility differently; this policy does not change their operation.

Support and Technical Information

If you contact us, we receive the message, return address and details you choose to provide. Technical records needed for delivery, abuse prevention and troubleshooting may include request times, device or browser information and network identifiers.

Do not send seed phrases or private keys. For an order enquiry, an order ID and transaction hash are generally more useful than access to your wallet.

Use, Access and Retention

Order information is used to process a transfer, investigate errors, address risk or abuse and answer related enquiries. Access should be limited to people and systems performing those functions.

Data is retained for the time needed for these purposes and applicable obligations, then removed or anonymised when appropriate. Service providers that host the site, deliver messages or operate exchange infrastructure may process data for those tasks under access controls. Browser storage and cookies may be used for necessary site functions.

Privacy Requests

Write to [email protected] with a request about information linked to your order or support message. We may ask for enough order information to identify the request without collecting a wallet secret.

The contacts page lists other service channels. Separate transaction checks are described in the AML policy.
